52 Ways To Make Every Moment Count
Week 12
Start Living Your Dreams
We all have dreamed of being someone greater than who we are or doing something greater than what we are doing. The big question is how do we get there? This question can become quite intimidating as well as a challenge when we consider everything involved.
A dream is supposed to be a challenge. Accomplishing a dream is never easy. I’m grateful for every part of my body, but I really admire my mind and its ability to help me see into my future in spite of what’s happening in my present. Dreams are precious. They give us hope and expectation.
How do we get there? How do we make our dreams come true? There are many answers. My first suggestion is to start by making sure your dreams, aspirations and goals align with God’s divine purpose for your life. The only way to accomplish this is by praying and asking God for direction. We need to be mature enough not to want things which do not accommodate who we were designed to be.
Another method is to learn how to take: one dream at a time, one day at a time, one moment at a time. Remember to celebrate each milestone—large or small. We often get discouraged because we try to take on too much all at once. When we are unable to accomplish the whole lump sum, we then become discouraged and want to give up. Stop! Stop! Stop being your own worst enemy. You can do it. You only live once so why not step outside of you limitations and try something different. Trust in God. His word promises He will never leave you alone or unprotected.
My final answer is that we must change our perception if we want to change our reality. Change your speech and change how you think. Surround yourself with positive, successful role-models. Start speaking and thinking like a winner.
I enjoy studying the lives of people who have accomplished great things such as Bishop Finace Bush Jr., Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Donald Trump, Barak Obama, Nelson Mandela, Dan Cathy and many others. These men and women all have accomplished many great things, but they have all endured great challenges. Approximately 10% of people actually accomplish their dreams. Only about 25% of people even attempt to pursue their dreams.
It’s time for YOU to start living YOURS.
